Story :

This skirt was sewn from a blanket made by the Chin ethnic group. This fabric is an exceptional piece coming straight from the state of Chin, in the North West of Burma. This little-known region, victim of its extreme natural conditions (mountains, bad weather, etc.), has fallen out of favor in the eyes of the government, which makes its population the poorest in Asia. However, this Tibetan-Burmese ethnic group remains famous for its physical customs (tattoos, costumes) and its remarkable craftsmanship. Their unique know-how in weaving and embroidery gives an invaluable value to each confection. The hand-woven patterns come from the mystical symbology of the Chin ethnic group. We find these very particular patterns tattooed on the faces of the population, an assembly of detailed and tight signs,
